Working with the Police

Updated: 8 December 2025

Please note: The information contained in this chapter sets out good practice that should be considered by event organisers. However, it is industry guidance and does not necessarily cover everything that organisers need to consider for a particular event

It is good practice to advise the local police in advance of an event taking place as they may be able to advise of any specific crime risks to be aware of. They should also be informed immediately if a crime or incident takes place at the event.
