Please note: The information contained in this chapter sets out good practice that should be considered by event organisers. However, it is industry guidance and does not necessarily cover everything that organisers need to consider for a particular event.
Providing information and welfare services at an event not only contributes to the health and safety and well-being of the audience but also acts as an early warning system to detect any potential breakdown of services or facilities on site. It is good practice for the range and level of information and welfare services required to be determined as part of the operational event risk assessment and management plan.
